The Annual Spring KPLA Conference is coming up. 10 days, in fact. You can thank the 1 user who searched for how to register for the conference and somehow found my blog for this post today!
The Spring Conference is March 16, 17, and 18 at the Griffin Gate Marriot Resort & Conference Center in Lexington, Kentucky. The conference’s theme is “Let Your Passion Be Our Guide,” and features many innovative presentations and workshops that will have attendees thinking and planning outside the typical library box.
I am super excited to be hosting the first ever KPLA Unconference. On the second day of the conference myself and some associates and volunteers will be moderating discussion sessions on topics decided by the attendees. For a preview of topics (or to vote for one!) head over to the Conference page and fill out the Unconference form.
On the 3rd day of the conference, I’m going to be doing 2 full presentations (How to Talk to Teens About Books, and Radical Teen Fiction), an Ignite session (a 5 minute lightning round combo of the previous 2), and a 50 minute Unconference Round-Up along with the UC moderators. It’s going to be a blast. If you’re interested in any of my presentations and you won’t be at the conference just let me know and I’ll send you the links to them!
